As a Be My Eyes volunteer, have you ever wished you could better understand the experiences of the people you assist?
We just came across a great new app called RNIB Eyeware, and we had to share it with you all. Developed by the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), this app educates users on the importance of accessible products, services and environments for individuals with sight loss in both personal and professional settings.
Imagine being able to step into someone else’s shoes—or more accurately, see through their eyes. Whether you’re a caregiver, a healthcare professional, a designer, or someone eager to understand the nuances of sight loss, this app provides a unique and empathetic experience to better understand how sight loss impacts millions of people from all over the world.
So, if you care about making the world a bit more inclusive—whether in your job, community, or just in general—understanding is where it starts. And this new app is aimed at just that; creating an experience that sparks ideas for more accessible environments.
You can find RNIB Eyeware now in the App Store and on Google Play
