“Can You Top This?” Contest Rules and Participation Agreement

1. Eligibility

  • ‍‍The contest is open to all Be My Eyes blind and low-vision users.
  • No entry fees are required to participate.Employees and consultants of Be My Eyes, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.

‍2. Submission Guidelines

  • ‍‍Share your creative and unexpected actual uses of Be My Eyes with us, as often as you want!
  • Submissions must be in English, Spanish, Portuguese or French.
  • All submissions must be made electronically through the official “Can You Top This?” participation form.
  • Deadline for submissions is 11:59 PM ET on the last day of each month.

‍3. Originality and Permissions

  • ‍‍All writings must be your original work.
  • If your submission includes images, videos, or audio (together, “Media”), you must hold the rights to the Media or have permission to use it and grant the rights below.
  • By entering the contest, you grant Accessibly Inc., dba Be My Eyes, a non-exclusive, royalty- free, world-wide license and right to copyright, publish, display, reproduce, exhibit, transmit, broadcast, digitize, otherwise use and permit others to use, your submission, and, if you are our winner, your name and country of residence, in any manner, form, or format whatsoever now or hereinafter created, including on the Internet, and for any purpose, including, but not limited to, advertising or promotion of Be My Eyes, its affiliates, or their services, without further consent from or payment to you.

‍4. Judging and Criteria‍

  • Submissions will be judged by Be My Eyes.
  • Judging criteria will include originality of the story and creativity in the uses of Be My Eyes volunteer calls and Be My AI interactions.
  • The decision of the judges is final and binding.

‍5. Notification and Prize‍

  • Two winners will be selected each month.
  • Winners will be notified via email within 7 days after the closing date.
  • Winners will receive a gift card valued at 200.00$.
  • The prize is non-transferable, and no cash alternative is available.

‍6. General Conditions‍

  • Be My Eyes reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest at any time, for any reason, in its sole discretion.
  • By participating, contestants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges and Be My Eyes.
  • Other than as described in these contest rules, personal data received during the course of the contest will be used as described in our Privacy Policy.

‍7. Liability and Law‍

  • Be My Eyes is not responsible for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by any contestant entering the contest or because of accepting or not winning any prize.
  • The contest and these rules will be governed by the law of the State of California, United States of America, without regard to any conflicts of law rules. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of San Mateo County, California, USA, and you irrevocably agree to and submit to the venue and jurisdiction of those courts.
